What Is Front End Web Development

Front-end web development, also known as client-side development is the practice of producing HTML, CSS and JavaScript for a website or Web Application so that a user can see and interact with them directly. The challenge associated with front end development is that the tools and techniques used to create the front end of a website change constantly and so the developer needs to constantly be aware of how the field is developing.

The objective of designing a site is to ensure that when the users open up the site they see the information in a format that is easy to read and relevant. This is further complicated by the fact that users now use a large variety of devices with varying screen sizes and resolutions thus forcing the designer to take into consideration these aspects when designing the site. They need to ensure that their site comes up correctly in different browsers (cross-browser), different operating systems (cross-platform) and different devices (cross-device), which requires careful planning on the side of the developer.

Stage 1

Creating a Website

  • Design a static website of your choice, HTML, CSS & JAVASCRIPT
  • Use of libraries such as Bootstrap or jQuery is allowed.
  • It’s time you put your idea on internet. It’s time you put your time to use. We will help you bring your website online. Absolutely free

Stage 2

Article Writing & SEO

Knowledge is of no use if it’s not shared, even worse when shared but not reached. We will help you learn how to optimize your website through onsite SEO, essential for increasing the quality and quantity of traffic in any website.

  • Post an article by choosing one topic from given problem statement and provide an analysis or solution on the same. You can also choose your own problem statement.
  • It will be judged based on how well you performed onsite SEO on your articles and website and obviously quality of your content.
  • Articles must be your original work.

Stage 3

Building a Simple Web App

In this stage you will have to design a simple web application though HTML, CSS and JAVASCRIPT. It can be as simple as

  • Taking input from the user and displaying on the webpage.
  • An array of images which when clicked upon gets deleted.
  • A simple to-do list.
  • Working tic-tac-toe.
  • Any app of your choice.
